Home School vs. Private (Umbrella) School

This is a simple comparison chart to help you learn some of the differences between establishing a home education program with your district school and enrolling your child at Aspiring Heights Academy. In Florida, students enrolled in home-based private schools, also known as umbrella schools, are by legal definition private schooled students, not home educated students. Visit the Florida Department of Education for more information about Florida private schools and home education.
